WordPress MP3 Player For BLOGGER

mp3Updated Post On Readers Demand
I am pretty excited to share the trick of adding one of the best flash players to your blog. This player is different from rest of the Mp3 players found elsewhere. It is simple in design, supports music with a high range of frequencies and most importantly works with all browsers. Adding this player will add a pro look to your blog because many bloggers don’t know about this player as yet, so be the first to use it. Many bloggers also think that this audio player works with WordPress only but with a little tweaking I will help you add this player successfully to your BlogSpot blogs.
This is how your cool flash player would look like,

To add this player to your blog post or sidebar, do the following,
  • Go to Layout > Edit HTML >
Layout
  • Backup your template >
backup-template
  • Press Ctrl + F and look for
by using the search box,
Search-code
  • Immediately above
tag add this code,
Tip of Copying the Code Below:- Start Highlighting the Code from bottom to top and then Press Ctrl + C to copy it. To Paste it above
simply press Ctrl + V
That’s it.

//
var AudioPlayer=function(){var F=[];var C;var E="";var A={};var D=-1;function B(G){return document.all?window[G]:document[G]}return{setup:function(H,G){E=H;A=G},getPlayer:function(G){return B(G)},embed:function(K,O){var I={};var M;var G;var P;var H;var N={};var J={};var L={};for(M in A){I[M]=A[M]}for(M in O){I[M]=O[M]}if(I.transparentpagebg=="yes"){N.bgcolor="#FFFFFF";N.wmode="transparent"}else{if(I.pagebg){N.bgcolor="#"+I.pagebg}N.wmode="opaque"}N.menu="false";for(M in I){if(M=="pagebg"||M=="width"||M=="transparentpagebg"){continue}J[M]=I[M]}L.name=K;L.style="outline: none";J.playerID=K;audioplayer_swfobject.embedSWF(E,K,I.width.toString(),"24","9",false,J,N,L);F.push(K)},syncVolumes:function(G,I){D=I;for(var H=0;H<F.length;H++){if(F[H]!=G){B(F[H]).setVolume(D)}}},activate:function(G){if(C&&C!=G){B(C).close()}C=G},load:function(I,G,J,H){B(I).load(G,J,H)},close:function(G){B(G).close();if(G==C){C=null}},open:function(G){B(G).open()},getVolume:function(G){return D}}}()/* SWFObject v2.1 <http://code.google.com/p/swfobject/>

  • Save your template
Now whenever you want to add this WordPress Audio Player to your posts or sidebar, add the code below to the Edit HTML section of your Post or to the HTML/JavaScript widget in your sidebar.

Remember to replace the text in green with the URL of your MP3 file.
Now publish your post and enjoy listening to your favorite music!

Add more than one Wordpress audio player per post
To add more than one audio player to your post, simply add the code below for your second player,

You get another Mp3 player just like the first one
Remember to replace the text in green with the URL of your MP3 file. If you want to use an extra player, simply change the text in red to the number of player. For adding a third player change the text in red to 3 and so on.
Attention!
The Reason why many readers were getting errors while using this player is that I have saved the flash file of this player in a free hosting service like www.fileave.com To have this player work efficiently kindly save the following files in a free file hosting service and link to them using your own URLs,
  • Flash Player File
I have linked to the above flash file as http://mustafastc.fileave.com/player.swf in the codes shared above. Kindly replace this URL with yours.
Update:- If you wish to colorize the player or want to change its look and feel then read this post –> Customize The Color Scheme Of Wordpress MP3 Player
I hope you would like this new update. If you have any question please feel free to ask me in the comment box below.

  3. Hello Mohammad,

Thanks for your blog! It helped me with what I was looking for for ages.
However, I haven't understood yet where exactly to paste the MBT Coding in order to have the MP3 player in my sidebar.

I look forward to hearing from you,

    All the best,

    Malengua

  4. @ybilicious

Sometimes the song on my blog don't play because I have saved it in google sites, which you know is pretty slow. I guess I would have to change it.

    @Eurico

TO add this player to your sidebar, do the following,

    1) Go To Layout
    2) Select Add a Gadget or Add a page element
    3) From the list shown, choose HTML/JavaScript
4)Simply paste the code inside it and click save.
    YOu are done!

Make sure you upload your song some where and make the necessary changes to the code as guided above

  5. Thanks, MOHD!

Your explanation was simply clear! However, after "connecting" message on the player, it comes "file not found". I'm sure the URL is correct because it works with another player.

Friend just give me one day to re-upload the mp3 files to a different location and remove them from the damn slow google sites. All problems are linked with google sites low bandwidth issues.

I will update the post and it will work just fine

  8. Hello, nice tutorial however it just doesn't want to work for me. I've pasted the code exactly as you've directed but when I try to post with the post code it never shows up, I'm kind of confused.

(I have it uploaded on skydrive)

  9. greetings, Mohammed. thanks for the tutorial on the mp3 player for blogger. It works excellent. so far I've not had any problems w/google sites, but in case I do can you recommend a free hosting service that would work great for mp3 files.

  10. Hi, It works with mp3 but not work with aac+/m4a/mp4.

Do you know how to enable the aac+ plugin for this player?

    Thanks!

Thanks for that warm comment :> Well I honestly trust no hosting service but I often try, boxtr.com and fileave.com For me the best was googlepages but unfortunately it will be closed shortly.

    @Les Tontons Flingueurs

If you observe carefully I have named this player MP3 player so it works best with all audio files supported by a normal windows media player. Mp4 etc will require a more sophisticated player and normally are not supported by all browsers

  12. Another question for you sir. How do I change the color of the player. I'm so so with html coding so if you can just refer me to where I need to go in the code you provided to change it. I'm considering a deep red color.

    Thanks

  13. @Mr. Wells

we can change the colours. Just give me few hours. I will publish the post today

  18. G.M, Mohammad,

I personally want to thank you again for all your help thus far. You are one very skilled individual. My blogging techniques have been improved thanks to you. I have checked out the "read more" post and will give it a shot later.

I'm using google sites, tried boxtr.com (overdrive) and I just found out about TeraDepot.com (also free hosting).
Do I save the Flash Player File to all these and do I need to change this "http://mustafastc.fileave.com/player1.swf" to something else or just save it and change only the URL of the music file?

    Thank you

    Blessing & Salaam

  19. @Mr Wells

    Walaikum friend :>

Thanks a lot for that lovely encouragement my friend.

You just need to right click the flash file above and then choose "Save link as" . This will save the flash file in your computer drive. Now go to any one of the above free hosting service and upload that flash file that you just saved in your computer. Once it is uploaded the hosting service will provide a unique URL/Link for that file just like this one -> http://mustafastc.fileave.com/player1.swf

Now simply copy the new URL and replace http://mustafastc.fileave.com/player1.swf with the new URL.

I hope I was clear more this time :>>

This way the flash file will remain with you forever.

Thanks for letting me about TeraDepot.com. I will try it. But I am thinking to buy a reliable hosting service for my blog.

  20. No luck w/TeraDepot or google sites. But it works with opendrive & that's with a file saved at google sites as well. Let me know what you find that's affordable and can hold a lot of mp3 files. Thanks again for all your expertise. I'll keep in touch my brother.

    Salaam

  24. I have pasted the answer here,

For the song title and name to appear in the player do this,
    1. In your Computer song drive, right click a song and choose properties
    2. You will see two tabs i.e General and Summary
    3. Inside General tab, write your Song Name or Source
    4. Inside Summary Tab, write your song title
    5. Now upload your song file and use it in your player
    6. That's it!

  26. Hi,

Where it says 'Attention!.. Kindly download the following files' there are no following files!? I have tried clicking on the link underneath it which says 'Flash Player File', but that just takes me to the URL: 'http://mustafastc.fileave.com/player.swf' with nothing to download. Please can you help, I don't understand what I have to download or replace with my own url? Do I not have to download it? What do I do? Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  27. @whoop

Friend simply right click the download link and then choose "Save Link AS" That's it! :>

Once you download this file simply upload it to any free server like fileave.com and then the server will provide you a link. Copy that link and paste it in place of this link in the code above -> http://mustafastc.fileave.com/player.swf

If you are finding it difficult simply do nothing except copying and pasting the code inside your template :> Make sure to replace the text URL of your MP3 with the link of your mp3 file.

    Hope that helps!

  29. Hi, thank you so much for this great mp3 player! The only thing i am having trouble with is the song title :( I cannot for the life of me get the song title to appear. I have read your instructions for getting the song title to show up and have followed the instructions for embedding the player to the T but still can't get the name of the song to show up. Is the any other alternative to get my track title to show up? :(

  34. Hello Mohammad,

Thanks for informative post. I added about 9 players for 9 tracks in post, but now when i am trying to play the songs in blog, error like 'File not found' is coming. I uploaded audio files on boxster.com (now known as opendrive.com). I need to make my readers listen the songs of my newly released album online, but i am getting error as above. Also i need to show track name, artist and album name while playing songs. Kindly please me out man.

  35. I'm getting the player on my blog, but it gets stuck "buffering".

I'm using q-drive as my host, but I think it's linking more than file.

    Maybe I'll try another service...

  36. Just today the player has stopped showing up on my Blog, and even here in your tutorial the example player doesn't show up. It worked just a day ago. Do you know if Blogger has blocked the code?

Pity, this is a truly genius trick. :(

  37. @kelly

My bandwith has exceeded. There is nothing wrong with the code and it will work just fine once I change my hosting. I will shift files to a better hosting soon. BTW this often is normal with free services like fileave.com

  38. Dear Mohammad,

I just want to be sure whether the MP3 player will appear automatically after you change your hosting site.

    Regards,

  39. esstou poniendo el codigo como me indico arriba de head y dice que no puedo guardar la plantilla por que esta mal formulada mi blogg es http://mercicid.blogspot.com/

  40. @Malengua

No, you will have to replace the old link in the code with the new URL of your mp3 player. Hope that was clear! :>

  41. Whats the best site to save/store MP3's? I was using esnips, but I have to use their widgets. I like this player more, so I want to host my songs someplace else. Please help.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Ok I have tried teradepot for storing the files. It still does not work. Is there a problem with the flas player. In the MBT code, the only change i have to make is the URL of the mp3 right?

    ReplyDelete
  43. @Precious P

Any free hosting service that you may try will have some issues. I will just recommend mydatanest.com or boxtr.com

Not just the MP3 URL, kindly also change the URL of the flash file so that it may work just perfect on your blog. The reason why the player disappears on this blog is that many people use my link and thereby leaving me with bandwith issue. :(

I will have to update the links. Use this link for downloading the flash file ->http://www.mdn.fm/files/87479_wv3lp/player.swf

  44. Hi there, just what I need!

I've tried everything but I can't seem to get it to publish. I have tried sites filefactory and file ave. The preview only shows a black bar but doesn't let me publish it telling me a 'PARAM' tag is broken. What does this mean?

    ReplyDelete
  45. Update: I've managed to get the player to publish, except now what happens is that it is constantly 'buffering' but never plays (I've tried several different hosting sites)

    ReplyDelete
  46. Thank you! This helped me a lot. :)

  47. the method u have told for displaying name of song and title isn't working. i have followed every instructions that u have written in the other post but its still not working. Can u help me with this.

    thank you

  48. one thing i forgot the player is working fine and buffers very fast, and i have hosted the files at www.fileden.com . may b u could help after this.

  49. buddy you are just awesome yarr....
you have all the solution of my problems with blogger tks a lot reall tks a lot.

  50. @4odays

Pal make sure your mp3 is not big in size. Large music files will surely buffer a lot. keep them small in size.

    @mayank
For that title thing, I really don't know dude why its not working for some whilst it does for others. Probably operating system conflict then. I will recommend mydatanest.com for uploading files even better then fileave.

    @jeet dholakia
You are always welcomed pal. Thanks for the kindness :)

  51. The player shows up when I do a post but when I press play the files just says "buffering". Any suggestions? I don't really understand the final bit about hosting the flash player. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

  52. Just to update I downloaded the player, uploaded it on open drive, replaced the two links in the html code with the new link for the player and added my song into the code but now the player doesn't show up at all. Any ideas?

  53. Finally got it sorted, not sure what I was doing wrong but thanks again for the brilliant blog post!

  55. I use divShare for free audio hosting...I followed your instructions exactly, but when I click play a "buffering" text apears but the song won't play

    ReplyDelete
  56. By the way, I don't think it's actually buffering because the green bar that indicates how much has been buffered always shows up full after I click play, but the audio file won't play

  57. @jeffrey

Kindly save your mp3 file at fileave.com and then customize the player in MBT HTML editor. Once you are satisfied then copy the code and paste it in your template.

Note: Make sure the music format is mp3

  58. Do you know of a free alternative to fileave.com with a bigger space for files? I've used up my free 50mb on fileave and have since tried other free services but when I use their links to embed music it just comes up as "buffering". For example when I use rapidshare I inserted the following link http://rapidshare.com/files/441469167/Four-Floors-Diplo-Remix.mp3
into the html code on my blog but it just says buffering and doesn'r load. It seems to be in the same format as the fileave files so I don't see the problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

  59. @austin

Bro with free services you will always have to face the bandwidth issue. Though I am using mydatanest.com and I am pretty happy with it but again the problem is attached with it too if your exceed the bandwidth. Creating accounts on more than one of these services can help better. This will keep your bandwith low because not all your files will be linking a single server. Getting me? At least keep two. Hope this helps.

  60. Hi, Im fairly new to blogger and I use it alot to promote music. Alot of my friends and I make music and I want to promote them on my blog and really love this mp3 player. Im just having trouble understanding the URL part in the codes... I just cant seem to get anything to show up. Can you please help me???

    ReplyDelete
  61. @Neo Rhiza

Well to let the player play your music files you will need to store your mp3files at a server which provided hotlinking like fileave.com or mydatanest.com. A URL simply means a link to your Mp3. Once you upload your mp3 files at mydatanest.com or fileave.com they will provide you with separate links to your music file. Simple replace "URL of your Mp3" with that link.
    Hope this helps :)

    Use this code instead,

  65. i'd like to know if there is a way to change the color of the audio player. I've seen this player on a lot of sites and the color of it changes depending on the website.
for instance, perezhilton.com has it in pink.
    anyway to do this?
