Methods to add Onion Emoticons or any other emoticons shared at “TNT by STC” to your posts
METHOD 1
You can save these images to your computer hard drive by right clicking an emoticon and then selecting “save image as”
Now whenever you want to add an emoticon to your post, simply upload it just the way you upload an image in blogger and add the emoticon as an image in your blogger posts. The good thing about this method is that it’s pretty easy and even a newbie can do that but the disadvantage is that uploading the emoticon using blogger will make the image still [ blogger editor don’t let the image animate] So you would need Windows Live Writer, which is a best editor for writing your blog posts in a more professional style.
METHOD 2
Upload all of your Emoticons to your Photobucket account Or simply to your blogger Picasa album (I mean create a simple draft post as a backup for all your images). Copy the URL of each image in a notepad. Now whenever you write a post and want to add an emoticon next to a text or anywhere you want, simply use the code below,

If you want to add a title for each emoticon which must appear on mouse hover (Hover your mouse on this emoticon –> fingure-in-nose) then add the code below.

IMPORTANT:- Remember to replace the text in green with the required detail.
If you want Search engines to crawl your emoticon and bring you huge traffic! then enter the code below,

IMPORTANT:- Remember to replace the text in green with the required detail.
If you think Man that is pretty hectic! then Jump to Method 3
Suggestion :- I prefer method 1. Use Windows Live Writer to attach emoticons to your posts.
METHOD 3
Method 3 is a cool method I learnt from Kang Rohman This method works only with Mozilla Firefox Browser. Don’t have it? Don’t worry it takes seconds to download and install it.
Follow these steps,
  1. Open your Mozilla Firefox browser
  2. Install an add-on called Grease Monkey
  3. Once you have installed Grease Monkey, restart your browser
  4. Now you need to install a JavaScript that will cause Onion Emoticons to appear in your blogger editor. Download the JavaScript For Onion Emoticons
  5. Now Sign in your blogger account and go to Settings > Layout > Edit HTML > Click Expand Widgets > and search for </b:skin>
  6. Copy (Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) the code below just above/before </b:skin>

img.emoticon {
padding: 0;
margin: 0;
border: 0;
}
    7.   Save you template………Done!
When you sign into your blogger account using blogger.com and not draft.blogger.com, you will see Onion Emoticons appearing in your blogger editor (In compose mode) just like this,
Onion Emoticons
I hope now your posts will look more lively bye

Remove Blogger Navigation Bar

blogger-navbar,-blogger-nav Removing blogger navigation bar is as easy as drinking a cup of tea! Below I have shared a pretty easy way of getting rid of that annoying nav-bar. The blogger navbar is a default feature that appears at the top of every blogger hosted blog. There are many reasons why you should remove the blogger navbar, some of which are mentioned below,

  1. It makes your blog look less professional
  2. You can be flagged by anyone!
  3. It allows your readers to view other member blogs by clicking the “Next Blog” button, which may contain objectionable content like adult explicit content!

Now you would agree with me, why I called it annoying. Before you may remove or hide blogger navigation bar please ensure that you have made a backup of your template.

BACKUP YOUR BLOGGER TEMPLATE

As we are adding code directly to the Blogger template for this customization, it is necessary to make a back-up of the existing template code. If suppose you get an error while customizing your template or you delete or break a code accidently, you will be able to easily restore your template.

To make a back-up of your Blogger template, go to Layout>Edit HTML in your Blogger dashboard, and look for the “Download full template” link near the top of the page.

Clicking on this link will prompt you to save your existing template to your computer hard drive. Save it somewhere so that you could find it easily while restoring your template.

REMOVING BLOGGER NAVBAR

Simply do the following,

  1. Go to layout > Edit HTML in your blogger dashboard
  2. Copy the code below, [Press “Ctrl + C” to copy & “Ctrl + V” to paste a code]

#navbar-iframe {   height:0px;   visibility:hidden;   display:none   }

    3. Press Ctrl+F and search for Variable definitions

    3. Paste the above code just before/above Variable definitions

    4. Save your template and enjoy the new look of your pro blog :)

Offline Blogging With Windows Live Writer

Windows live writer

Yes! you can blog offline. With growing technology like Windows Live Writer blogging is no more limited to your dashboard. You can write, save and publish posts right from your computer without signing in your blogger account. Blogger HTML editor lacks many features when it comes to writing a good looking post. On contrary windows live writer is a software built by Microsoft Corporation which contains every feature that Blogger lacks.

I hate blogging without Windows Live Writer! I am sure many bloggers would agree with me on this point.

Some of the things you can’t do with Blogger HTML editor are,

  • You can not write HTML code just the way it looks in blogger editor because the code is interpreted as a command and blogger editor converts it to how it may look in a browser.
  • You can’t resize an image to whatever size you like because you are provided with only three options i.e Small, Medium and Large size.
  • The font type and font size is limited.
  • You can not undo what you have done (Going backward).
  • You can’t align images to the left or right of your intro paragraph.
  • You can not add effects to your images, like shadow effect, rounded corners, emboss, blur etc.
  • You can not post an image in its original size
  • You can not insert tables in your posts because no table option exists
  • You can not open a link in a new window unless you edit the HTML
  • You can not add a world map to your posts
  • And much more……………

You can not do all above in a compose mode unless you add or change the HTML code in your HTML editor. But editing HTML would seem difficult for a newbie whilst pretty easy for a professional. Since most people like me have limited knowledge about editing HTML, blogger editor is of little use to all of us. Luckily! Windows Live Writer comes to our rescue. It can to do what ever blogger editor can not. It contains every feature a blogger is looking for. One of the best things I like about it is that it saves a copy of your blog interface/theme and when you write posts, it will be just like writing a post straight into your blog. See the image below to understand what I mean to say,

Moreover your images can be displayed in two different ways look below,
