Celebrating The Success of "Unexplored Success Treasures - 2014"

20 Comments so far

Entrepreneurship and Youth Awareness, the two different but not indistinct messages the STC Network has been maintaining for the better part of the past 5 years, resonated once again last month on the 23rd of February in Islamabad - and profoundly I must add. "Unexplored Success Treasures", the first event of its kind in Pakistan, was a thoroughly enjoyable experience for organizers, speakers and participants alike. But more than that, it was an eye-opener for the youth and those who wouldn't think outside their 9-5 box! We feel honored in having successfully delivered such a strong and valuable message to such individuals, and hence consider UST 2014 a victory for the STC Network, and for Entrepreneurship (Alhamdulillah)!

Highlights of our Exciting Experience at 'Pakistan Festival 2014'

Online Business - A Love AffairCovering institutes across the country with the message of entrepreneurship and youth awareness, is an obligation that STC Network is trying our best to fulfill for the past 5 years. Communicating with a qualified public is indeed a simple task but conveying your message in simple words to an excited crowd of thousands consisting of mostly school children and housewives in national language was the toughest challenge of all. Pakistan Festival 2014 has therefore become the most memorable event of my life where we learnt a lot. Pakistan Helpline in association with Talib e Ilm Society, Anima and students across Karachi had organized a successful event on 23rd March 2014 at EXPO center, to share the spirit of being a devoted and loyal Pakistani. People from across the city participated in it including Nisar Ahmed khuhro (former Speaker of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh) , Dr Fauzia Siddiqui requires no introduction, Altaf Shakoor (President Pasban), Abid Beli, city Police commissioner, ARY TV Anchor Iqrar Ul Hasan (Host Sare Aam), Celeb Faisal Qureshi, Syed Qaiser Mehmood, NGO heads and a lot more amongst guests.

Mohammad presentation on content MarketingOn 2nd October 2013, in Civil Auditorium of NED University of Engineering and Technology, we conducted one of the biggest events on Cyber Security & Content Marketing which attracted over 550 attendees from all over Karachi city but due to Tickets Limitation only 300 students could get the pass. It was a combined work shop by Rafay Baloch of RHA Info Sec and STC Network. The event was initially planned during March but was later postponed to October 2nd. We had an exciting experience with the enthusiastic youth out there. I loved the enthusiasm displayed by the thirsty students who dreamt of escaping the current failed system of Job Oriented society and wished to step ahead towards a more brighter future with a keen determination to step into Online Business and make a sustainable Income online without a Boss and Fear of Job security. With 10% penetration in online market, Pakistan is currently 27th largest internet user today with India being 3rd Largest Internet user globally. I started my presentation with Tim Berners-Lee invention of world wide web back in October 1994 and later disclosed the 16 Most highly practiced Content Marketing Strategies Online that has reshaped Businesses Online like never before. Following are some details of what actually we discussed that day.

Different people have different ways of keeping track of the race, and so do many websites which provide varying data on who has the most support. But every term (four years), more and more people are looking for reliable sources of information on the voting process and their ballots. Ramadan kareem 2012
The Holy Month of Ramadan is upon us. So let us make use of this opportunity to wish all our readers a very happy Ramadan Kareem, filled with peace, love and serenity, on behalf of the entire STC network (brother Mohammad, Nida and myself :)).  This is a month filled with peace, and forgiveness. Muslims practice fasting in this holy month whereby they refrain from their desires such as eating and drinking all day long throughout the month, the purpose being to not only please God, but also to share the sufferings to the poor and the needy. Fasting is an important part of many religions, and not just Islam. Hence, we extend our greetings to ALL our readers, no matter what religion they follow. It is, after all, all about peace and love. We are very lucky, and proud to announce that this is our third Ramadan (three successful years of MBT) with you all!

folio3 developers day 2012Yet another interesting event took place at ACM NUCES Fast University Karachi being sponsored by Folio3. Developers Day is one of my favorite IT events of hometown where people like me get an opportunity to create awareness amongst young teenagers.  This event took place on 15th March 2012 and it comprised of exciting competitions in which one could take part to exhibit his skills. My soul purpose behind taking part in 10 Minutes Tech talk was of course not to win or loose but to take advantage of this opportunity and educate the highly enthusiastic students coming from different universities of the city with the idea of Entrepreneurship.

My Experience of ACM-NUCES (FAST) – Developer’s Day 2011

40 Comments so far

DSC01219 After having a terrible appendix operation and a bed rest for continuous 20 days I was out of touch with everything I was addicted to i.e Blogging and extra curricular activities. And just when I got better I restarted tasting the beautiful flavors of life. On 16th March 2011, I attended a “Developer’s Day” event organized by ACM-NUCES FAST University Karachi. The event consisted of IT professionals, active and talented techy students from around the city. The event  had many competitions in which one could participate and I chose the “10 Minutes Tech Talk”. Each participant was given 10 minutes to share his brilliant tech idea with the audience and that idea was to be extra ordinary and unique enough so that it could impress the judges from software house companies.

The Start of the Day

The day turned out more interesting yet funny than I expected. I was informed just the day before the event (15th March) that I must take part in the competition. I was tired and  physically week due to my recent appendix operation and had no intention of taking part in it. Some friends insisted and they took me to the event early in the morning. I was un prepared with no power point presentation slides, no notes and no nothing. I sat almost for three hours scratching my head and looking at presentations given by some extremely talented computer engineering students. But as the event continued I managed to prepare my presentation and the topic I chose as the “IDEA” was BLOGGING :p I was almost prepared and just needed a laptop so that I could display my blog on the projector instead of any power point slides. It took me a further one hour fighting with laptop and USB bugs but then finally I somehow managed to made up my mind and was ready to give it a shot!
I started the presentation with formal greetings and then a series of interactive questions from the audience. I saw a healthy participation from all corners. I described the term “Blog” and “Blogger” and paid more focus on why should One Blog? After having shared how much have blogging helped me till now to build up a happy online livelihood and how it has helped me with my day to day expenses, university costs and gym and studies, I saw people getting more and more engaged in the topic. But then during the presentation since I was unprepared and all spontaneous, I accidently slipped off few statements on some students who presented before me and the IT professionals and these statements were unfortunately taken as criticism. My point was that students often work hard day and night to become good gentlemen. They work hard at academic levels so that they could get good jobs in future. They always live up with this growing job tension in mind and often become patients of hopelessness, frustration and depression. I encouraged the students that everyone of them is a genius and if they apply their talents wisely by blogging for instance then they will have a life time happy investment, whose revenue size will keep on multiplying and will never die. I emphasized that a Blogger is self dependent and fully financially stable and does never have to worry about whether someone hires him as an employee or not because he has his own ever expanding and flourishing Company (Traffic and i.e Revenue)!. I termed some former ideas as manipulated carried forward copy cat adopted ideas and this was what that provoked half the audience and then it was poor me and the angry audience. I personally realized that I should have been a bit softer in my tone but at least I learnt that it is really important to come Prepared when you face a huge crowd.

My Achievement?

No matter what happened in the end but I really enjoyed the entire day. It was interesting, funny but a great learning experience. I did succeed in receiving some great motivating feedback from my university mates and from other students and the best part was that just after the presentation “I received a JOB offer from jeemsolutions!”  and that's what I termed as the biggest applause! :)

Event Photos

I know after the Appendix operation I look skinny so please don’t comment on my looks =d

Last words:

What I did that day was to show my love for Blogger and the beautiful art of Blogging. Blogging by every definition is the rapidly expanding internet phenomena that is revolving everywhere. Its all about sharing and learning. It has helped thousands of people with a happy, friendly, social, multicultural, academic and fun life. For Bloggers Blogosphere is their only virtual world where they feel at peace, where you find nothing but love, respect and honour. Forever do we Blog and forever will we Blog! Peace out! :)
